Our last city on the trip! We unfortunately decided to cut the trip short to go home, so this game at the Yankees was the last one on our trip!
We had the whole day in New York before the game. We were going to go to the Museum of Natural History, but we ended up playing in Central Park instead. We found some baseball fields and I played some catch with my dad.
After playing for a while, and then going on the Carousel, we walked back and took the Subway to Yankee Stadium.
We got into Yankee Stadium pretty quickly and met one of my Dad’s friends there.
Once the game started, we heard the roll call pretty quickly. Fans sitting in the center-right field will do a chant for each of the Yankee players! This is the only stadium I’ve seen where the fans do this.
The game started very weakly, with the Yankees letting in 10 runs in the first 4 innings, without scoring any themselves. It wasn’t until the 9th inning that the Yankees even scored.
The food was great at Yankee Stadium, I got this awesome Milkshake!
We are going home tomorrow. Since we’ve cut the trip short a few days, we’ll still have a few stadiums to catch up on, but I’m happy to go home to see my Mom!
