Day Seven! Pittsburgh
Today we went to PNC Park to see the Pirates play! We stayed at our hotel across the Allegheny River from the Park, so we had to walk across a bridge to get there. The main bridge to get to the stadium is called the “Roberto Clemente Bridge”, but its under repair, so we used the Andy Warhol Bridge. There are lots of things in this city made to look like Andy Warhol’s Art!
Today was “Kids Photo Fest” day at PNC Park. They gave us the chance to go onto the field and take photos with players!
We stuck around after the Photo Fest to try to get some autographs and I managed to get a total of 5 as well as a Game Ball!
Today was Andrew McCutchen’s 2,000th hit! Only four other active baseball players have more than 2,000 hits, they are Miguel Cabrera, Nelson Cruz, Joey Votto, and Elvis Andrus.
The Pirates won! Beating the Mets 2-1!
PNC has been my favorite stadium. It’s very pretty next to the river, but I’m sad they don’t have splash hits like at Oracle Park! I really loved getting the autographs and meeting the players today!
Here’s my video of the day!
Tomorrow we’ll be in Boston to see a really famous stadium, Fenway Park!
Bye Bye!
